WICASA SHIPYARDS (TH2)

NOTE: On some SSDs the fighter/shuttles have shaded boxes, these represent the crippled the status of the fighter/shuttle.
NOTE: On some SSDs the crew check-off boxes have a 'B' or 'D' in them, these represent the crew units that are Boarding Parties or Deck Crews.
NOTE: All Wisca ships can land and take off from a planet using all landing systems.

The Wicasa are a humanoid race. Before being conquered by the Tholians, the Wicasa had built up a large fleet and controlled a large region of space. Their war with the Tholians cost them their fleet and independence. After a number of years, the Tholians began to allowed them to build cargo ships for trading with other planets. The Wicasa designed a ship that could be assemble in modules, and built in the ability to arm these freighters. Soon the Wicasa contacted the Tartelles, and arranged for Tartellen 'pirates' to capture a number of their freighters which were quickly converted to warships. Knowing that they could not match the Tholians ship for ship, the Wicasa developed a pair of high speed fighters and equipped their ships to operate them. Joining the rebel alliance against the Tholians, they eventually overcame them, only to be dominated by their Seltorian allies, with the help of the Symbiote. When the Selts sent half their fleet in search of Tholians, the Alliance struck, destroying the Symbiote fleet and defeated the remaining Selts.

The Wicasa have a republic form of government, with each citizen retaining the right to vote. While the Wicasa had many different religious beliefs, they all appear to have developed from common ideas.

Wicasa ships are built in sections. All types of ships use common sections and all are hybrid carriers. Before the introduction of the W-1 and W-2 fighters, the Wicasa used standard shuttles as fighters against the Tholian Lava-1 and Lava-2 fighters. As with most of the Alliance fleets, members of the other Alliance races served on Wicasa ships and Wicasans served on other Alliance ships. The Wicasa also helped the Tartellans develop their own fighters. Wicasan ships use heavy blasters and light blasters instead of phasers on their ships along with proton torpedoes. The blasters use the same rules as phasers, but have a different chart (they fire as bolts as opposed to beams). The proton rules can be found in module P-6.

(TH201) HEAVY CRUISER (CA) This was the largest ship operated by the Wicasa. Developed from their heavy freighter, it carries 10 W-2 fighters.

(TH202) LIGHT CRUISER (CL) This was a more commonly seen Wicasa ship. Developed from the medium freighter into a cruiser-carrier, it at first operated 10 admin shuttles until the introduction of the W-1 which replaced 8 Admins (these 8 shuttles are not included in the ships BPV).

(TH203) DESTROYER (DD) This (along with the FF) was the most commonly seen Wicasa ship. Developed from the small freighter into a destroyer, it at first operated 8 admin shuttles until the introduction of the W-1 which replaced 6 Admins (these 8 shuttles are not included in the ships BPV).

(TH204) FRIGATE (FF) This (along with the DD) was the most commonly seen Wicasa ship. Developed from the light freighter into a frigate, it at first operated 6 admin shuttles until the introduction of the W-1 which replaced 4 Admins (these 6 shuttles are not included in the ships BPV).

(TH205) HEAVY SCOUT (HSC) A variant of the CL, it was introduced to provide electronic support to the fleet. It carries 8 W-1 fighters (not included in the BPV).

(TH206) SMALL SCOUT (SC) A variant of the DD, it was introduced to provide electronic support to the fleet. More common than the HSC, It carries 6 W-1 fighters (not included in the BPV).

(TH207) COMMANDO CRUISER (CMC) Another variant of the CL, it was introduced to raid Tholian and later, Selt planets and bases. Very rare, this ship often operated alone. It carries 4 W-1 fighters (not included in the BPV).

(TH208) COMMANDO DESTROYER (DDM) Another variant of the DD it was introduced to raid Tholian and later, Selt planets and bases. More common than the CMC, it carries 2 W-1 fighters (not included in the BPV).

(TH209) CARRIER (CV) The success of Wicasa fighters led them into developing a CV module to be used on their ships. This module sacrificed weapons and batteries for enlarged shuttle bays and additional power reactors. This ship is a variant of the CL. Very rare, this ship carriers 12 W-2 fighters (not included in the BPV).

(TH210) LIGHT CARRIER (CVL) Another variant of the DD, it was introduced to increase the number of fighters available to the Alliance fleets. This ship often operated with ships from other races. More common than the CV, it carries 10 W-2 fighters (not included in the BPV).

(TH211) SURVEY CRUISER (GSC) As the rebellion against the Tholians began to succeed, the Allies began to expand their held territory. To find planets to support forward bases, the Wicasa created a survey module which they installed on their CL. Very rare, this ship carriers 4 W-2 fighters (not included in the BPV).

TH2F1 FIGHTER (W-1) This is the fighter used by all Wicasan ships other than the Heavy Cruiser. It is armed with 2 BLL and 1 proton torpedo (which has 2 charges). Fighter proton charges cost 1 point to arm and each freezer on a ship can hold 4 charges. It is limited to a range of 12 hexes. The W-1 fighter has a DFR of 2 and a maximum speed of 20. It can hold 2 fighter pods (not Phaser or drone related). BPV of this fighter is 11.

TH2F2 FIGHTER (W-2) This is the fighter used by the Wicasan Heavy Cruiser. It is armed with 4 BLL and 2 proton torpedoes (each has 2 charges). Fighter proton charges cost 1 point to arm and each freezer on a ship can hold 8 charges. It is limited to a range of 12 hexes. The W-2 fighter has a DFR of 4 and a maximum speed of 24. It can hold 2 fighter pods (not Phaser or drone related). BPV of this fighter is 9.
